Barn weddings are becoming an increasingly popular choice, with many brides dreaming of a rustic, countryside wedding oozing elegant charm and character. Barns are a fabulous option for those wanting a unique venue, which can be personalised and transformed to reflect you as a couple. We’ve handpicked some of our favourite barns from around the country to give you an idea of what’s on offer.
1) Winter Barns
Offering a romantic setting for your big day, you can indulge in exclusive use at this secluded venue – making Winter Barns the perfect choice for an intimate wedding. Dating back to 1690, we love the barn’s vaulted beamed ceilings which add that special touch of character and charm. Located in the heart of the Kent countryside, the surrounding grounds are a stunning backdrop to any wedding photographs.
2) Blackstock Barns
Nestled just outside the Sussex countryside village of Hellingly, Blackstock Barns has become a popular wedding venue. Blackstock boasts two beautiful barn venues for couples to choose from. The Tudor Barn is a lovingly restored 15th century barn, which oozes a unique rustic charm and ambiance. If you’re looking for a more modern alternative, then the newer Granary Barn offers another large space to host your ceremony or reception. With 70 acres of fields, lakes, courtyards and bluebell woodland – Blackstock Farm is a beautiful backdrop for your big day, with endless photo opportunities.

We love the barn’s manicured outdoor surroundings; get married surrounded by herbaceous borders, a stunning sunken garden and acres of organic meadows.

This stunning 16th century barn is located in the picturesque village of Marsh Gibbon, in Oxfordshire. Just a stone’s throw from St. Mary’s Church – this venue is in a perfect location for those who are wanting a church wedding, followed by a barn reception! Steeped in history, the barn was originally used to store tithe which was farmed from surrounding farms. We love this venue’s family feel and bespoke wedding service, which really focuses on each individual couple and their personal requirements.
